Many educators and smaller learning institutions work very close to children and families, yet often work separately with limited opportunities to exchange experience, strengthen teachers, demonstrate learner progress or find appropriate partners.
Why Prime Movers?
Good people doing important work should be able to find one another.
Parents often turn to teachers, tutorial centers and smaller schools because they feel their child needs more help, more attention, stronger foundations or another opportunity to succeed.
Prime Movers creates a community where educators and institutions carrying the same mission can strengthen what they already do, share what works, ask for help and contribute what they know.

Prime Movers has two complementary forms of membership. What matters is not simply the number of members, but what each member strengthens where they are and what members can accomplish together.
Individual Prime Movers
Teachers, tutors, educators, school leaders and other education practitioners who have completed the common formative course and personally subscribe to the mission.
Institutional Prime Movers
Small schools, tutorial centers, learning centers and other appropriate learning institutions represented by a trained and committed leader.

Formation before membership.
Prime Movers begins with a common formative experience so members share an initial understanding of the child, language, literacy preparation and beginning reading and writing.
SEELS Montessori Language and Jolly Phonics Introductory Course
Completion of the Introductory Course makes an individual eligible to become a Prime Mover. Membership then requires something more: a voluntary commitment to put the shared beliefs into action.
We are not starting with all the answers.
The founding community will help turn the Prime Movers idea into practical cooperation grounded in the realities of children, families, teachers and smaller learning institutions.

Your contribution matters before the network grows.
A Prime Mover is not expected to arrive with a perfect school, a large institution or all the solutions.
You may bring classroom experience, a parent-engagement practice, local knowledge, technology skills, mentoring experience, institutional challenges, useful connections or simply a willingness to learn and contribute.

Prime Movers is not
- simply another alumni group;
- simply another chat group;
- another school system;
- one teaching method or one product;
- an organization that takes over member institutions; or
- a body that automatically speaks for every member.

Is Prime Movers only for school owners?
No. Individual teachers, tutors, educators and school leaders may participate as Individual Prime Movers. Appropriate schools, tutorial centers and learning centers may participate as Institutional Prime Movers.
Is this another SEELS training course?
No. Prime Movers is a community of formation, action, mutual support and shared responsibility. SEELS training opportunities may support members when appropriate, but the network itself is not simply another training course.
Do I have to complete every SEELS program?
No. Development should respond to actual need. Members may follow different professional-development pathways depending on the children, families and institutions they serve.
Will Prime Movers interfere with how my school or center operates?
No. Each member institution keeps its identity, management, programs, educational philosophy and internal responsibilities. Support should be requested, agreed upon and provided with respect for confidentiality and institutional independence.
Is Prime Movers connected with a particular religion?
Prime Movers respects the faith, beliefs and cultural backgrounds of all members, children and families. Any inspirational biblical expression used by the community is not a religious requirement of membership.
Why begin with only a small founding group?
The purpose is to begin carefully, learn from actual implementation, develop trust, document experience and allow the network to grow responsibly rather than simply accumulate names.
