A School Culture That Learns Together

Teacher formation becomes part of school improvement

A strong school is built through the repeated work of teachers who observe children carefully, prepare purposeful lessons, communicate with families and adjust instruction when learners need a different approach.

Fairyland’s partnership with SEELS PH ETD creates a shared space for teachers to study, practise, receive feedback and connect new methods with the school’s actual learning priorities. Training is not treated as a separate event. It becomes part of improving classroom routines, literacy support and professional teamwork.

  • Develop current teachers and teaching assistants
  • Strengthen classroom planning and learner observation
  • Improve Filipino and English literacy support
  • Build a common language for mentoring and reflection

Fairyland leads the local school implementation.

Fairyland School determines its learner needs, faculty priorities, venue arrangements, participant readiness and available practice capacity. SEELS PH ETD supports the agreed teacher-formation programme, learning resources and professional-development process.

Learning Through Guided Classroom Application

Practise with responsibility inside a real school community

When conditions allow, selected participants may connect training outputs with supervised observation, learner support and classroom practice.

Observe the Learner

Notice development, participation, language use, literacy needs and response to instruction before deciding what support to provide.

Prepare Purposefully

Match lesson goals, materials, language and teaching steps with the learner’s age, readiness and classroom context.

Reflect with a Mentor

Use feedback, learner evidence and written reflection to improve planning, delivery and the next teaching response.

Practice conditions: Any observation or practicum activity depends on participant screening, learner schedules, parent or guardian consent, safeguarding, confidentiality, mentor availability, school capacity and written confirmation. Supervised practice is a learning activity and does not replace paid employment.
Fairyland Teacher-Development Pathway

Turn training into better teaching habits and stronger evidence

Study the Learner

Begin with child development, classroom evidence and the learning need that requires a thoughtful response.

Build the Method

Learn the teaching approach, lesson sequence and material use appropriate to the identified need.

Practise with Support

Apply the method through approved demonstrations, assisted teaching or supervised classroom practice.

Document Improvement

Build lesson plans, teaching samples, feedback, reflection and a practical professional portfolio.

Possible School Progression

Consistent growth may lead to greater professional responsibility

Participants who demonstrate readiness may be considered for further observation, assisted teaching, project work, mentoring responsibilities or future opportunities at Fairyland or another partner institution.

Consideration depends on actual openings, learner needs and the independent selection process of the receiving institution.

Broader TESOL Development

Continue separately to the SEELS 120-Hour TESOL

Participants seeking broader English-language teaching preparation may apply separately to the online programme offered by SEELS Teachers Academy in Japan.

The 24-Hour TEYL Philippine Variant and the 120-Hour TESOL have separate enrolment, assessment, requirements and certificates.

Employment clarification: Fairyland School, SEELS and SEELS PH ETD are not recruitment or job-placement agencies and do not guarantee employment. With a graduate’s consent, qualified participants may be referred when suitable opportunities are available. Each institution independently manages interviews, demonstrations, appointments, compensation and employment terms.
