Nurturing young learners begins with nurturing the adults who teach them.

Little Thinkers Early Learning Center is building a local teacher-development pathway where educators can deepen their understanding of young children while strengthening the daily practice of teaching, guiding and caring.

Led locally by CEO Kristina Bagalihog and supported through its partnership with SEELS PH Education and Training Development, Little Thinkers can host selected teacher-formation courses, literacy-development activities, guided demonstrations and supervised practice when school capacity allows.

Where Early Learning and Teacher Growth Meet

A learning center grows when its teachers learn together

Teaching young children calls for more than prepared activities. It requires adults who can observe development, listen closely, establish secure routines and respond to each learner with patience, clarity and purpose.

Little Thinkers’ partnership with SEELS PH ETD creates a shared place for teachers to study, practise, receive feedback and connect new methods with the actual needs of children and families. Training becomes part of the center’s continuing work of improving early literacy, classroom guidance and professional teamwork.

  • Develop current teachers and teaching assistants
  • Strengthen observation and child-responsive planning
  • Improve Filipino and English literacy foundations
  • Build a shared culture of mentoring and reflection

Little Thinkers leads the local implementation.

Little Thinkers determines its learner needs, faculty priorities, venue arrangements, participant readiness and available practice capacity. SEELS PH ETD supports the agreed teacher-formation programme, learning resources and professional-development process.

Learning Through Guided Early-Childhood Practice

Practise with care inside a real early-learning community

When conditions allow, selected participants may connect training outputs with supervised observation, learner support and classroom practice.

Observe the Whole Child

Notice communication, movement, attention, confidence, literacy readiness and response to the learning environment.

Prepare with Intention

Match goals, language, materials and teaching steps with the child’s age, development and current readiness.

Reflect with a Mentor

Use feedback, learner evidence and written reflection to improve the next teaching response.

Practice conditions: Any observation or practicum activity depends on participant screening, learner schedules, parent or guardian consent, safeguarding, confidentiality, mentor availability, school capacity and written confirmation. Supervised practice is a learning activity and does not replace paid employment.
Little Thinkers Teacher-Development Pathway

Turn teacher learning into more responsive early-childhood practice

Understand the Child

Begin with development, observation and the learning need that requires a thoughtful response.

Learn the Method

Study the lesson sequence, materials and teaching approach appropriate to that need.

Practise with Guidance

Apply the method through approved demonstrations, assisted teaching or supervised practice.

Document Growth

Build lesson plans, teaching samples, feedback, reflection and a practical professional portfolio.

Possible Local Progression

Consistent practice may lead to greater professional responsibility

Participants who demonstrate readiness may be considered for further observation, assisted teaching, project work, mentoring responsibilities or future opportunities at Little Thinkers or another partner institution.

Consideration depends on actual openings, learner needs and the independent selection process of the receiving institution.

Broader TESOL Development

Continue separately to the SEELS 120-Hour TESOL

Participants seeking broader English-language teaching preparation may apply separately to the online programme offered by SEELS Teachers Academy in Japan.

The 24-Hour TEYL Philippine Variant and the 120-Hour TESOL have separate enrolment, assessment, requirements and certificates.

Employment clarification: Little Thinkers, SEELS and SEELS PH ETD are not recruitment or job-placement agencies and do not guarantee employment. With a graduate’s consent, qualified participants may be referred when suitable opportunities are available. Each institution independently manages interviews, demonstrations, appointments, compensation and employment terms.
