From One School Community to Wider Local Capacity

Teacher growth becomes stronger when the school and community move together

Scuola’s role is not limited to providing a venue for courses. The school can help teachers connect professional learning with the real language, literacy and developmental needs they observe among children.

Its participation as a co-signatory to the Santa Barbara LGU Memorandum of Agreement gives the partnership a community-facing dimension. The school can contribute practical classroom experience, local relationships and a place where training ideas may be examined carefully before wider use.

  • Develop teachers and teaching assistants through shared formation
  • Connect literacy preparation with actual learner evidence
  • Support Filipino and English as equally valuable learning languages
  • Contribute school experience to a wider local education partnership

Scuola provides the school-based bridge within the local partnership.

Scuola determines its learner needs, faculty priorities, venue arrangements, participant readiness and available practice capacity. Its co-signatory role under the Santa Barbara LGU MoA is presented according to the agreed local partnership. SEELS PH ETD supports the confirmed teacher-formation programme, learning resources and professional-development process.

From Formation to Responsible School Practice

Use the school setting to connect training with careful observation

When conditions allow, selected participants may connect training outputs with supervised observation, learner support and classroom practice.

Listen to the Classroom

Notice how children communicate, participate, respond to materials and move through daily routines before deciding what teaching response is needed.

Plan with Local Meaning

Prepare lessons that respect learner readiness, school resources, family context and the language needs of the Santa Barbara community.

Return Evidence to the Team

Use mentor feedback, learner work and written reflection so one teacher’s learning can contribute to wider school improvement.

Practice conditions: Any observation or practicum activity depends on participant screening, learner schedules, parent or guardian consent, safeguarding, confidentiality, mentor availability, school capacity and written confirmation. The LGU MoA does not automatically create a practicum placement, employment right or guaranteed programme slot.
Scuola School-and-Community Development Pathway

Move from a local learning need to a documented teaching response

Name the Need

Begin with a learner, classroom or community concern that teachers can describe using observation and evidence.

Study the Approach

Join the formation that best matches the need and understand the method before attempting wider implementation.

Apply with Permission

Use approved demonstrations, assisted teaching or supervised practice within clearly defined school conditions.

Share What Was Learned

Document plans, learner evidence, mentor feedback and reflection so the experience can inform the school and its partners.

Community Partnership Role

Scuola can help translate partnership commitments into careful school practice

As a co-signatory to the Santa Barbara LGU MoA, Scuola can contribute school experience, teacher participation and a local setting for agreed education and literacy activities.

Each activity still requires separate planning, safeguarding, resource confirmation and approval by the responsible partners. The MoA should be understood as a framework for cooperation, not an automatic promise that every proposed activity will proceed.

Broader TESOL Development

Continue separately to the SEELS 120-Hour TESOL

Participants seeking broader English-language teaching preparation may apply separately to the online programme offered by SEELS Teachers Academy in Japan.

The 24-Hour TEYL Philippine Variant and the 120-Hour TESOL have separate enrolment, assessment, requirements and certificates.

Employment clarification: Scuola Bambini, the Santa Barbara LGU, SEELS and SEELS PH ETD are not recruitment or job-placement agencies through this training pathway and do not guarantee employment. Each institution independently manages vacancies, interviews, demonstrations, appointments, compensation and employment terms.
